Purchasing Manager

We’re looking for a seasoned Purchasing Manager to run sourcing and procurement on a major Data Center construction project in Finland. You’ll make sure materials, equipment and services arrive on time and at the right cost, while building dependable supplier partnerships that keep the project on track.

What You’ll Do

• Run day-to-day procurement and purchasing operations on site
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, delivery schedules and commercial terms
• Build and nurture long-term supplier relationships
• Assess suppliers on quality, cost, reliability, technical capability and availability
• Keep supplier databases and procurement records accurate and up to date
• Prepare cost estimates and manage purchasing budgets
• Refine purchasing systems and workflows, and shape procurement policies, tendering and quotation guidelines and vendor selection criteria
• Work closely with internal teams and contribute to cross-functional initiatives

About You

You have a solid background in procurement, purchasing or supply chain management and thrive in a structured, fast-moving environment. You’re commercially sharp, analytical and confident at the negotiating table.

Requirements

• Degree in Business Administration or a related discipline
• Hands-on experience in procurement, purchasing or supplier management
• Good knowledge of inventory and supply chain management
• Skilled with MS Office and purchasing systems
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder management abilities
• Fluent English and Finnish, written and spoken
• Good planning, organisational and decision-making skills
