Purchasing Manager

About the Role

Are you a procurement professional who keeps the supply chain moving? We’re looking for a Purchasing Manager to oversee our purchasing process, making sure every purchase follows company policy, every delivery arrives on time, and every peso spent delivers value. You’ll lead the purchasing team, build strong supplier relationships, and find smarter ways to source quality materials at better costs.

What You’ll Do

Procurement Process Management

• Monitor the purchasing process continuously to prevent delays
• Ensure proper protocols for purchase and budget approvals are followed
• Review purchase requests for completeness and accuracy before releasing them for canvassing, prioritizing the most urgent
• Source cheaper alternative materials without sacrificing quality

Delivery Monitoring

• Track deliveries through regular follow-ups and remind suppliers of agreed commitment dates

Coordination

• Coordinate closely with suppliers and end-users
• Relay important information and feedback to all concerned departments

Supplier Management

• Keep the vendor database up to date
• Develop new suppliers by attending expositions and exhibits, and establish credit terms

Cost Reduction

• Maximize the use of supplies through recycling initiatives
• Implement energy conservation programs initiated by the Engineering Department

Team Leadership

• Monitor your team’s work to ensure effectiveness and accountability
• Ensure company rules are followed through proper orientation

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related course
• At least 5 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role
• In-depth knowledge of procurement principles, strategies, and best practices
• Knowledge of vendor management and inventory management systems
• Proficient in procurement software and systems
• Able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Willing to work in a fast-paced and competitive environment
