Joining our dynamic manufacturing team, you will conduct sourcing, manage purchasing, suppliers, improve our global sourcing from China, Germany and Thailand.

JOB SUMMARY:

This is a great opportunity for a dynamic and experienced Purchasing Officer. Your main responsibility is to source new suppliers for our parts and manage purchasing activities and suppliers for Ruwac Asia Ltd. We are open to hiring someone with more than 20 years’ experience, if you are an experienced Purchasing Officer and fit into our young, dynamic and active team.

We are a small German manufacturing company in Thailand. We have a strong focus on specialized, technology-driven solutions for our customers. Currently we are expanding into more price-conscious and volume markets, which require an increased procurement drive to match our growth ambitions.

Sourcing from China and Thailand is of strategic importance for our success, not only for Ruwac Asia Ltd., but also for our German head office. You will have the chance to work closely with the German head office and the US subsidiary to improve the global supply chain as well.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Negotiate with suppliers to meet delivery, quality and cost objectives
• Manage purchasing activities (coordination with other departments supporting purchasing, project follow ups, direct material tracking)
• Create RFQ documents and specifications for parts to procure, with support of the engineering team
• Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors to finalize quotations, specifications and related documents
• Support other team members in their learning process to become more skilled in procurement tasks
• Perform cost scenario analysis and benchmarking
• Follow up with QA to ensure quality standards are met
• Assist in any other task assigned by your superior and support team.

Qualifications:

• Thai national
• Minimum of 3 years Purchasing experience in manufacturing (high experience is an advantage)
• Purchasing experience is an advantage (training will be given)
• Good command of Spoken and Written English
• Good interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
• Knowledge in cost analysis, sourcing skill, negotiating contracts and quotations with Contract Manufacturers and Suppliers
• Bachelor degree (or higher) in Sourcing, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Materials Engineering or related Engineering fields.
• Analytical skills
• Well organized and able to prioritize work and tasks under pressure
