We are looking for a proactive, experienced Purchase Officer to join our growing team and manage the end-to-end procurement process for our ongoing construction projects and site developments.

Role Overview

As a Purchase Officer, you will oversee the procurement of structural, civil, architectural, and electrical/plumbing construction materials. You will work closely with project managers, purchase manager, site engineers, and financial teams to ensure materials and equipment arrive on site on time, within budget, and to specified quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Material & Equipment Sourcing: Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with trusted local and regional suppliers for construction materials (e.g., rebar, cement, aggregates, finishing, plumbing, electrical, and site fixtures).
• Purchase Order (PO) Management: Prepare, issue, and track purchase orders based on project requisitions from site engineers and project directors.
• Cost & Contract Negotiation: Negotiate bulk pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to maximize project cost savings without sacrificing material standards.
• Vendor & Subcontractor Management: Maintain an updated database of reliable suppliers, fabricators, and equipment rental providers in Davao and Mindanao.
• Logistics & Delivery Coordination: Coordinate timely deliveries directly to construction sites (e.g., Avani Residences and future project sites) to prevent site delays.
• Quality Assurance & Reconciliation: Inspect delivered goods against PO specs and delivery receipts. Resolve short shipments, damaged items, or invoice discrepancies alongside accounting.
• Inventory & Budget Monitoring: Monitor material consumption trends across active sites to minimize wastage and maintain accurate inventory records.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: 2 to 4+ years of purchasing/procurement experience in the construction, property development, or real estate industry.
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related fields.
• Industry Knowledge: Strong familiarity with construction materials, technical specifications, and local Davao/Mindanao hardware suppliers and importers.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP software, or purchasing inventory management platforms.
• Key Skills: Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills; highly organized with acute attention to detail.
