Purchasing / Project Manager

Crown Pacific Fine Foods is seeking a dedicated Buyer/Project Manager.

Primary responsibilities are:

Replenishment purchasing and managing inventory of ~6000 SKU’s and learn about the assigned categories.

Work with sales team to understand market conditions, analyze competitive market activity, and assist in the development of sales.

Manage promotional and marketing plans.

Manage Rebates/bill Backs and new placement free fills.

Have strong computer and communication skills.

Manage reporting of expiration.

Must ensure the effective and efficient purchase of various SKU’S by applying our purchasing software, policies and procedures.

Reviews all pertinent data (requisitions, forecasting, inventory reports, promotional planning reports, supplier promotional data, etc.) to determine the necessary inventory levels.

Creates purchase orders, arrange shipping and follows up with suppliers and freight companies.

Process receiving of incoming inventory into the warehouse management system.

Ensure optimum service from suppliers by negotiating on various aspects of contracts and delivery schedules, volume/quantity/weight of purchases, quality level, price, etc.

Manage pricing and margins.

Qualifications:

-Minimum of 5 years in distribution business, preferably food related

-Minimum 5 Years prior experience in purchasing

-Experience in Setting up Spreadsheets

-Extensive knowledge in Microsoft Excel
