What they need
About This Role
Procurement doesn't happen by accident, it happens because someone is on top of every PO, every shipment, and every supplier conversation before a problem even shows up on the radar. That's where you come in. As our Purchasing Specialist, you'll be the steady hand behind our end-to-end procurement process, keeping local and overseas orders moving smoothly, documents accurate, and suppliers accountable. If you like being the person who catches the small stuff before it becomes a big stuff, this is your kind of role.
Does This Sound Like You?
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
At least 2 - 3 years in purchasing or supply chain, so you know your way around POs, shipping docs, and supplier follow-ups.
Proactive by nature, you'd rather flag a potential delay today than explain it next week.
Comfortable working across languages, ideally English, Malay, and Chinese, to liaise smoothly with our supplier base.
Worked with import/export processes, and bonus points if you know your way around ISO or Halal compliance.
Confident in Microsoft Office and ERP systems (SAP), and documentation accuracy is second nature to you.
Sharp attention to detail and genuinely enjoy following through until things are actually, truly done.
Here's What You'll Be Doing
Preparing and issuing supplier purchase orders (local and overseas) accurately and on time.
Coordinating and following up on delivery schedules so goods arrive when they're supposed to.
Reviewing purchasing documents (Commercial Invoice, packing list, COA, E-Invoice, shipping documents, B/L, and more) to make sure everything checks out before goods ship or land.
Chasing down suppliers on discrepancies or missing paperwork — before it becomes a bigger issue.
Verifying batch shelf life against our requirements and keeping batch records updated in SAP for full traceability.
Supporting inventory control and helping uphold FIFO/FEFO practices.
Keeping us aligned with ISO standards, Halal requirements, E-Invoicing rules, and internal SOPs.
Partnering closely with QA, Warehouse, Finance, Customer Service, and Logistics to keep everything moving in sync.
Resolving supplier issues, damaged, rejected, short-delivered, incorrect, or non-conforming goods with a level head.
Tracking supplier performance over time and keeping records current.
Pitching in on operational and admin tasks as needed, plus the occasional ad-hoc project.
This Role May Not Be for You If…
You'd rather move fast and fix things later than double-check documents before they go out.
You find it draining to coordinate with multiple teams and suppliers on a daily basis.
You prefer a role with a fixed routine over one where priorities can shift with a delayed shipment or a supplier hiccup.
If none of that sounds like a dealbreaker and everything above sounds like your kind of work we'd love to hear from you.
Other offers great for you!
