Purchasing Specialist

Key Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day purchasing activities for spare parts, maintenance supplies, equipment, materials, and other operational requirements.
• Identify, source, and evaluate potential suppliers based on price, quality, delivery time, and service.
• Request and compare quotations from suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and favorable purchasing terms.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Prepare, issue, and monitor Purchase Orders (POs) in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and resolve issues related to delays, quality, or order discrepancies.
• Coordinate with internal departments, including Production, Engineering, Warehouse, and Finance, to ensure purchasing requirements are fulfilled.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier databases, quotations, and other procurement documentation.
• Monitor market prices and identify opportunities for cost savings and purchasing efficiency.
• Evaluate supplier performance and maintain good working relationships with existing and potential suppliers.
• Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies, approval procedures, and applicable regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Management, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in purchasing or a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing company.
• Experience in purchasing industrial materials, spare parts, MRO items, or factory operational supplies is an advantage.
• Good negotiation, communication, coordination, and analytical skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
• Good command of English, both written and verbal
