Purchasing Specialist

• Handles and receives PR (Purchase Requisitions) under Office dept. and Technical dept. (PID/QA/TS) and all calibration request of Engineering dept.
• Processes requisitions into approved purchase orders by canvasses and compares prices. Specification and delivery dates in order to determine the best bid among potential suppliers.
• Performs data entry of PO and PR in the system.
• Maintains purchasing documents, files and records for the purpose of ensuring the
• availability of documentation.
• Performs general clerical function such as answering the telephones, copying, faxing and other supporting departmental activities.
• Responds to inquiries of other departments regarding purchasing procedures and provides information about order status, changes, or cancellations.
• Reviews documents and data such as incoming requisitions, terminology, specifications, past purchases, reconciliations, to ensure completeness and accuracy of purchasing process.
• Compares prices, specifications, and delivery dates in order to determine the best bid among potential suppliers.
• Tracks the status of requisitions and orders.
• Handles all new Product Development Sourcing
• Locates suppliers, using sources such as catalogs and the internet, and interview them to gather information about products to be ordered.
