About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Purchasing Staff member to join our team at FERRO RESTAURANT in Ubud, Bali. This is a full-time position based on-site at our location. As Purchasing Staff, you will play a vital role in managing the procurement of goods and materials essential to our restaurant operations. Your work will directly impact our ability to maintain quality standards, control costs, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations. This position offers the opportunity to develop expertise in procurement and inventory management within the dynamic hospitality industry.

What you'll be doing

• Provide purchasing support for all restaurant departments and divisions.
• Control purchases and inventory levels and dispersal of all food, beverage and operational supplies.
• Maintain and develop the Purchases & Stock Control Policy and Procedure Manual. Control inventory levels and record keeping of all transfers to ensure cost controls are in place.
• Create purchase orders (PO) for every purchasing request from each department.
• Compile record of items purchased or transferred between departments, price, deliveries and inventory.
• Receives market list from Executive Chef, Sous Chef and outlet supervisors and arranges for delivery of those items daily.
• Ensures that all orders are sent to their respective suppliers and vendors for delivery on a daily bases.
• Receives and verifies all deliveries for count and condition.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of all purchases.
• Maintain internal control of all items.
• Report all transactions in real time and avoid accumulating reports until the end of the month.
• Scan, compile, and organize all receipts and payment notes properly.
• Upload and maintain all scanned documents and reports in the company Google Workspace Drive for proper filing and easy access.

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or inventory management, preferably within the hospitality or food service industry
• Strong organisational and record-keeping skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
• Proficiency in using spreadsheet software and basic computer systems
• Knowledge of supply chain processes and supplier management practices
