Purchasing Staff

Job Overview: Responsible for managing purchasing activities to ensure the timely and cost-effective supply of food, beverages, and operational needs for a remote private island resort.

Job Description:

• Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate prices, and maintain good supplier relationships.
• Process purchase orders and coordinate deliveries according to operational needs.
• Monitor stock levels and ensure product quality and availability.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records, invoices, and procurement reports.
• Coordinate procurement schedules while considering boat transportation, weather conditions, and island logistics.
• Ensure purchasing activities comply with company procedures and budget requirements.

Job Specifications:

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in the hospitality industry.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Good attention to detail and ability to manage purchasing documentation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and basic inventory management.
• Able to work independently and coordinate effectively with suppliers and internal departments.
• Adaptable to remote island operations, including limited supplier access, transportation schedules, and storage constraints.
