Purchasing Staff

About the role

This is a Purchasing role responsible for managing the procurement process, including receiving purchase requests, sourcing local vendors and suppliers, comparing price quotations, and creating Purchase Orders according to procedure.

Key responsibilities

• Receive purchase requests (PR) from relevant departments
• Search for and identify suitable local vendors and suppliers
• Request and compare price quotations from multiple vendors
• Create Purchase Orders (PO) in accordance with procedures
• Negotiate price, delivery time, and payment terms with vendors
• Conduct periodic vendor evaluation based on price, product quality, delivery speed, and service
• Organize and maintain purchasing documents (PR, PO, invoices, delivery receipts)
• Coordinate with internal users to ensure product and service specifications are met
• Monitor delivery status and ensure goods or services are received on time and as ordered
• Follow up on delays or product discrepancies and support merchandiser needs

About you

• Minimum D3/S1 education from any field
• Minimum 1 year of experience in local purchasing
• Understanding of purchasing processes and procurement administration
• Good communication and negotiation skills
• Detail-oriented, honest, and able to work to deadlines
• Able to operate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
• Familiar with ERP systems
