About the role

We are seeking a Purchasing Staff (ME) to join our procurement team in South Tangerang, Banten. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in supporting our manufacturing and logistics operations. As Purchasing Staff (ME), you will be responsible for managing purchasing activities, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring the timely procurement of materials and equipment necessary to support our business operations. Your contribution will directly impact our operational efficiency and cost management objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Process purchase requisitions and prepare purchase orders for materials, equipment and services required by the manufacturing and operations departments
• Source and evaluate potential suppliers, comparing pricing, quality and delivery terms to secure the best value for the company
• Maintain supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to achieve favourable terms and conditions
• Monitor purchase orders and track delivery schedules to ensure materials arrive on time and in accordance with specifications
• Verify invoices against purchase orders and delivery documentation to ensure accuracy before processing for payment
• Maintain accurate and organised purchasing records, including supplier information, pricing history and purchase documentation
• Coordinate with warehouse and inventory teams to manage stock levels and prevent material shortages
• Communicate with internal stakeholders regarding procurement status, delays or issues that may impact operations
• Assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities and contributing to process improvements within the procurement function

What we're looking for

• Secondary or tertiary qualification in business, supply chain, procurement or a related field
• Proven experience in purchasing, procurement or a related procurement role within a manufacturing or logistics environment
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management and inventory control practices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and experience with procurement or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
• Excellent communication skills in Indonesian and English, with the ability to liaise effectively with suppliers, colleagues and management
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple purchase orders and deadlines simultaneously
• Attention to detail and accuracy in processing purchasing documentation
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials commonly used in the manufacturing sector is advantageous
• Familiarity with supplier quality management and cost analysis would be beneficial
