Purchasing Supervisor

Scope of The Role:

Purchasing is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials, products, or services from international suppliers. This role ensures cost-effective purchasing while maintaining quality, managing supplier relationships, and coordinating logistics to support business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with overseas suppliers, manage procurement, and handle price negotiations and purchasing processes.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable sourcing.
• Assess and ensure the quality of supplier products.
• Calculate product costing, including freight, shipping, import duties and gross profit analysis.
• Oversee and monitor import operations, customs clearance, shipment status, order follow-ups, claim processes and documentation.
• Review all relevant import and export documents to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Negotiate with suppliers and distributors for cost reductions and improved trading terms.
• Source new suppliers domestically and internationally to support production and sales needs.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for optimal procurement efficiency.
• Conduct contract negotiations and oversee contract execution.
• Prepare procurement documents in compliance with the ISO 9000 quality system.
• Coordinate and collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in a relevant industry.
• Good written and spoken English or Chinese communication skills.
• Energetic, eager to learn, and committed to self-development.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
