1. Team Leadership & Operations

• Supervise, train, and mentor junior purchasing staff and procurement buyers.

• Oversee daily purchase order (PO) workflows, ensuring accurate requisitioning, timely approvals, and order fulfillment.

• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for purchasing staff and track team performance.

1. Sourcing & Vendor Management

• Evaluate and select suppliers based on pricing, quality, delivery performance, and reliability.

• Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements with vendors to maximize cost savings.

• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key external suppliers.

• Conduct periodic vendor audits and resolve invoice or delivery disputes.

1. Inventory & Cost Control

• Monitor inventory levels in coordination with warehouse/operations teams to prevent stockouts or overstocking.

• Track procurement expenses against departmental budgets and identify cost-reduction opportunities.

• Analyze market trends and raw material price fluctuations to inform purchasing decisions.

1. Process Improvement & Compliance

• Ensure all purchasing activities strictly comply with internal policies, ethical standards, and relevant industry regulations.

• Utilize and optimize ERP/procurement software systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).

• Recommend and implement streamlined procurement processes to boost operational efficiency.
