PV DESIGNER

Key responsibilities

• Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to evaluate solar potential and determine optimal system configurations
• Create detailed technical drawings, schematics and layout plans for PV installations
• Perform electrical calculations and system modelling to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers and clients to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet project specifications
• Review and analyze system performance data to optimize designs and improve efficiency
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant electrical codes, building standards and regulatory requirements
• Prepare technical documentation, reports and specifications for installation and commissioning teams
• Stay current with emerging PV technologies, design methodologies and industry best practices
• Provide technical support during the installation and testing phases of projects
• Other task that may be assigned

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related discipline
• Proven experience in photovoltaic system design or a related field within electrical engineering
• Proficiency with PV design software such as PVsyst, Helioscope, AutoCAD or similar tools
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, circuit design and power distribution
• Knowledge of solar radiation analysis and site assessment methodologies
