PV Technical Engineer

About the role

Responsible for front-end site survey, proposal preparation and full-set electrical construction drawing output for commercial & industrial PV projects. Support delivery and grid-connection approval of local GCPV projects, and gatekeep technical feasibility at pre-project stage.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct site reconnaissance, verify electrical drawings, transformers, grid-tie cabinet location, grid connection point and cable routing
• Draw PV layout drawings for commercial & industrial rooftop projects and prepare preliminary technical proposals
• Complete PV electrical construction drawing design, drawing submission for approval, and support GCPV drawing endorsement during pre-sales phase (mainly industrial rooftop projects)

About you

• Bachelor's degree or above
• Proven experience in site survey, PV layout proposal design and independent electrical construction drawing design for commercial & industrial PV projects in Malaysia
• Proficient in AutoCAD and PVsyst
• Familiar with PV electrical design and TNB grid connection approval process
• Able to independently prepare layout drawings, renderings and electrical construction drawings
• Strong sense of responsibility, adaptable to project travel
• Capable of independently preparing PV technical proposals and drawings
• Good communication skills to liaise with local consultants and TNB
• Strong on-site troubleshooting capability
• Factory rooftop PV project experience preferred; experience in supporting pre-sales GCPV drawing endorsement preferred; BEM / SEDA / CIDB certificates are plus points
