PW2/PW4 WIREMAN

About the role

This role involves executing single phase and three-phase electrical wiring, installing equipment such as cables, switchboards, and conduits, and performing ongoing preventive and corrective maintenance. You will diagnose electrical faults and conduct critical system tests including insulation resistance, polarity, and earth continuity testing. The role requires strict adherence to Suruhanjaya Tenaga (Energy Commission) regulations, identification of electrical hazards, and enforcement of proper safety and PPE protocols. You will read and interpret technical blueprints and schematic diagrams, prepare accurate testing records, inspection reports, and maintenance documentation. You will supervise site workers and technicians, collaborate with engineers and external contractors, and provide technical support to ensure safe and efficient project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Execute single phase and three-phase electrical wiring and install equipment including cables, switchboards, and conduits
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems
• Diagnose electrical faults and conduct system tests such as insulation resistance, polarity, and earth continuity testing
• Ensure all work adheres to Suruhanjaya Tenaga (Energy Commission) regulations
• Identify electrical hazards and enforce proper safety and PPE protocols
• Read and interpret technical blueprints and schematic diagrams
• Prepare accurate testing records, inspection reports, and maintenance documentation
• Supervise site workers and technicians
• Collaborate with engineers and external contractors
• Provide technical support to ensure safe and efficient project delivery

About you

• Possess a PW2/PW4 certificate issued by the Energy Commission
• Experience in electrical wiring and systems
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical diagrams, schematics, and blueprints
• Proven experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and components
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Commitment to safety and a strong focus on quality workmanship
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Minimum 1 year of experience
• Willing to travel to project sites
