Python Automation Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Python.
• Work with automation frameworks such as Selenium, PyTest, and unittest.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Automate web application testing using Selenium WebDriver.
• Design and implement reusable test scripts and automation frameworks.
• Identify, document, track, and report software defects.
• Analyze test results and prepare test execution reports.
• Perform API testing using Python libraries such as Requests.
• Validate databases using SQL queries and verify data accuracy.
• Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and business teams to resolve issues.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Maintain test documentation, test cases, and test data.
• Troubleshoot test failures and improve automation coverage.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning and defect review meetings.

Preferred candidate profile

python programming fundamentals and OOP concepts.

• Selenium WebDriver and web automation.
• PyTest or unittest testing frameworks.
• Manual testing concepts and software testing life cycle (STLC).
• Functional, regression, and API testing.
• SQL and database validation.
• Git and version control.
• Basic knowledge of Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines.
• Debugging, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Eligibility Criteria

• B.E./B.Tech, BCA, MCA, B.Sc. Computer Science, or a relevant qualification.
• Freshers and experienced candidates may apply, depending on the job requirements.
• Basic knowledge of Python programming and software testing concepts.
• Good communication skills, logical reasoning, and attention to detail.
