Python Backend Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Build maintainable backend services and REST APIs using Python, Django, and Django REST Framework
• Design PostgreSQL schemas, constraints, indexes, and versioned database migrations
• Implement multi-tenant isolation, permissions, and approval workflows
• Maintain traceable audit records across the system
• Handle concurrent updates, duplicate requests, and failed operations
• Build reliable background jobs
• Implement secure authentication and private file access
• Set up access-controlled data exports
• Write automated tests for permissions, workflow transitions, and data integrity
• Set up Docker-based deployment
• Document APIs, configuration, backup, and recovery procedures

Good to Have

• Experience with multi-tenant SaaS, ticketing, approvals, inventory, or asset management systems
• Familiarity with Celery, Redis, scheduled tasks, and notification retries
• AWS deployment experience
• Private object storage, CI/CD, monitoring, and recovery testing experience
• Audit logging and secure file handling experience
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL row-level security
• OpenAPI documentation experience
• Prior experience integrating APIs with separately developed frontends
• Knowledge of CNNetworks, NameSilo, or GoDaddy (helpful but not required)
