Python Coding Instructor - Remote

Gradeup Academy is seeking a dynamic, tech-savvy Python Coding Instructor to deliver live interactive online classes for school students (ages 10–17). In this role, you will teach core to advanced text-based programming aligned with both Indian and International curricula and competitive coding leagues. You must excel at conducting high-energy, project-driven demo sessions where young learners are captivated, impressed, and eager to build functional scripts, logic engines, and modern applications right from day one.

​Eligibility & Selection Tracks

• ​Track A: Direct Instructor Onboarding (Experienced Python Educators) Direct student batch allocation is available for candidates meeting all of the following benchmarks:
• ​Minimum 2+ years of verified online teaching experience delivering Python programming to school-age students.
• ​Prior experience working as a dedicated coding instructor with an EdTech company or recognized coding academy.
• ​A globally recognized certification as an accredited Python Instructor.
• ​In-depth mastery of both Indian curricula and International curricula, as well as international competitive coding leagues.
• ​Strong hands-on proficiency with standard development environments and cloud execution platforms, including Google Colab, PyCharm, Replit, VS Code, and Jupyter Notebooks.
• ​Verifiable portfolio and hands-on experience in building at least 50+ practical Python projects covering key core domains:
• ​Conditional constructs and complex nested loops / iteration algorithms
• ​Advanced string management, formatting, and pattern parsing
• ​Core data structures (Lists, Dictionaries, Tuples, Sets, Stacks, Queues)
• ​Mathematics, scientific computing, and data analytics libraries (such as NumPy, Pandas, and Matplotlib)
• ​Desktop GUI applications utilizing Tkinter GUI widgets (layouts, entry forms, buttons, event bindings, and rule-based apps like chatbots and utilities)
• ​Computational geometry and creative algorithmic art using Turtle graphics projects
• ​Mandatory Evaluation: Candidates in Track A must appear for and clear a comprehensive Technical Code Review & Live Kid-Centric Demo Evaluation, proving their ability to capture children's attention, simplify complex syntax, and deliver an engaging, high-energy learning experience.
• ​Track B: Trainee Instructor Track (Mandatory Upskilling & Global Certification)
• ​Candidates passionate about programming education who do not meet the 2+ years EdTech benchmark, lack accredited credentials, or have not yet developed a 50+ project portfolio are required to complete our professional Python Teacher Training Course.
• ​This program covers structured pedagogy across Indian and International curricula, modern IDE and cloud-notebook setups (Google Colab, PyCharm, Replit), and rigorous project building to earn a globally recognized teaching certification in Python Programming.
• ​Mandatory Evaluation: Following completion of the training module and practical project submissions, all Track B candidates must clear a final Technical Interview & Live Demo Assessment to qualify for active student batch assignments.

​Key Responsibilities

• ​Interactive Live Teaching: Deliver structured online classes teaching Python syntax, conditional logic, nested loops, data structures and interactive UI design via Tkinter and Turtle graphics.
• ​Curriculum Alignment: Deliver lessons mapped seamlessly to Indian and International curricula while mentoring students in problem-solving for junior coding olympiads and league competitions.
• ​High-Impact Demo Delivery for Kids: Host high-energy, immersive 20–30 minute live demo sessions designed to amaze kids, demystify code, and guide them to execute their first functional python application.
• ​IDE & Platform Mentorship: Guide learners through writing, executing, and debugging clean code across Google Colab, PyCharm, Replit, and VS Code.

​Candidate Profile & Qualifications

• ​Strong background in Computer Science, IT, Engineering (B.Tech / B.E. / BCA / MCA) or demonstrable practical mastery in Python programming.
• ​Fluency in English with an articulate, energetic, and patient teaching persona tailored for young learners.
• ​Dedicated home-teaching setup: Personal laptop/PC, high-speed broadband connection, power backup, and a quiet teaching environment.
