Job Description

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

• 10+ years of experience in Python development, preferably within Capital Markets, Equities Trading, or Financial Services environments.
• Strong hands-on experience in Python development with the ability to build scalable data processing and reporting solutions.
• Experience working with Equities Trading data, market data, transaction data, and trade reporting systems.
• Strong proficiency in Python libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, PySpark, and SQLAlchemy for data analysis and processing.
• Expertise in SQL and working with relational databases for data extraction, transformation, and reporting.
• Strong understanding of Equities Trading, trade lifecycle, market data, order management, execution, allocation, and settlement processes.
• Experience developing automated reporting, dashboards, and analytics solutions for business stakeholders.
• Experience in data validation, reconciliation, and ensuring data quality across trading and reporting platforms.
• Hands-on experience with ETL processes, data automation, and workflow optimization.
• Experience working with large datasets in enterprise data platforms.
• Proven experience working in an Agile development environment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Python-based solutions supporting Equities Trading, trading analytics, and reporting processes.
• Design and build automated reporting frameworks to deliver timely and accurate business insights.
• Analyze trading and market datasets and transform complex data into meaningful reports and actionable recommendations.
• Develop ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from multiple internal and external data sources.
• Work closely with Front Office, Trading, Operations, Risk, and Finance teams to understand business requirements.
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of trading and market data through validation and reconciliation processes.
• Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions for business stakeholders.
• Optimize existing reporting and data processing workflows through automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Troubleshoot data-related issues and perform root cause analysis to resolve reporting discrepancies.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Maintain technical documentation and ensure adherence to development and governance standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data and reporting solutions supporting Equities Trading operations.
