Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data processing applications using Python and Apache Spark.
• Develop robust and efficient PySpark applications for large-scale distributed data processing.
• Apply strong software engineering principles, coding standards, and development best practices .
• Develop and maintain production-quality applications using Python and Java .
• Work with distributed data processing frameworks and large-scale data platforms.
• Troubleshoot, optimize, and improve data processing applications and Spark workloads.
• Collaborate with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams to deliver data engineering solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure solutions are maintainable, scalable, reliable, and aligned with engineering standards.

Must-Have Skills

• Strong Python development experience .
• Hands-on Apache Spark / PySpark experience – this is a key requirement.
• Professional Java experience , either current or previous.
• Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals .
• Experience with development best practices, including:
• Clean and maintainable code
• Unit testing
• Code reviews
• Version control
• Debugging and troubleshooting
• Performance optimization
• Experience working with distributed data processing and large-scale data platforms.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid and collaborative team environment .
