Python Developer / Business Solution Design Officer – Private Capital

The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys solving business problems through technology, is hands-on with Python, and can translate business requirements into practical and sustainable technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with business and operations teams across APAC to analyse requirements and deliver solutions from design through deployment.
• Develop and maintain Python-based business solutions, automation tools and calculation engines to streamline manual processes.
• Develop data migration scripts, including data cleansing, transformation and validation.
• Support automation and enhancement of existing business tools and workflows.
• Identify opportunities to leverage AI, LLM and RPA technologies to improve operational efficiency.
• Work with business users to prototype and implement AI-powered solutions for operational challenges.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of an internal Python library supporting business and client solutions.
• Support project management activities including progress tracking, prioritisation and status reporting.
• Work closely with Operations, Product teams and regional technology teams to drive successful implementation of business changes.
• Conduct workshops, demonstrations and training sessions to support adoption of new tools and processes.
• Maintain documentation, user guides, tool registers and other relevant project references.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business Analytics or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in Python development, business solution design, automation or technology-driven business transformation.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python and object-oriented programming.
• Experience developing business-driven solutions such as automation tools, data migration scripts, fee/pricing calculations or workflow solutions.
• Strong knowledge of Python libraries such as Pandas and NumPy.
• Strong Excel skills, including complex formulas and/or VBA.
• Ability to understand complex business requirements and translate them into scalable and maintainable technical solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to process improvement.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Comfortable working with regional stakeholders and managing multiple priorities independently.

Good to Have

• Experience in Private Capital / Fund Administration / Asset Management / Financial Services.
• Knowledge of Private Equity, Private Debt, Infrastructure or Real Estate operations.
• Experience with AI / LLM / RPA solutions or prompt engineering.
• Experience with SQL / relational databases.
• Exposure to GitLab, Django, Power BI, HTML, JavaScript or CSS.
• Knowledge of eFront Invest or similar private capital investment platforms.
• Previous experience in Business Change, Business Analysis or Project Management.
