We are expanding our AI capabilities and looking for a GenAI Engineer who can help us build, deploy and scale real-world AI applications using Large Language Models, RAG, Agentic AI and modern AI engineering frameworks.

This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, writing clean Python code and turning AI concepts into reliable, production-ready applications.

ROLE OVERVIEW

As a GenAI Engineer, you will work across the complete AI application development lifecycle—from experimentation and prototyping to deployment, optimization and production support.

You will be responsible for developing LLM-powered applications, RAG pipelines, AI agents, multi-agent workflows and backend services, while ensuring that systems are scalable, reliable, secure and performant.

The ideal candidate should have strong Python development fundamentals combined with hands-on experience in Generative AI and LLM-based application development.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIESGenerative AI & LLM Engineering

• Build and deploy production-grade Generative AI applications using modern LLM technologies.
• Work with LLMs, Transformers, embeddings, prompt engineering and model APIs.
• Design and implement LLM-powered workflows and applications.
• Evaluate model performance, response quality, latency and cost.
• Experiment with new AI models, frameworks and technologies.

RAG & Knowledge Systems

• Design, develop and optimize Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems.
• Build document ingestion, chunking, embedding, retrieval and reranking pipelines.
• Work with vector databases and semantic search.
• Implement metadata filtering, hybrid search and retrieval optimization.
• Explore and implement GraphRAG and knowledge-graph-based solutions.

Agentic AI & Multi-Agent Systems

• Design and develop AI agents and agentic workflows.
• Build multi-agent systems for complex business use cases.
• Implement agent memory, tool calling and workflow orchestration.
• Work with frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph and LangSmith.
• Explore emerging protocols and technologies such as MCP (Model Context Protocol).

Python & Backend Engineering

• Develop clean, modular and maintainable Python applications.
• Build APIs and backend services using frameworks such as FastAPI.
• Work with pandas, NumPy and other Python libraries for data processing where required.
• Design data ingestion, transformation and processing pipelines.
• Integrate AI systems with third-party APIs, databases and enterprise applications.
• Write unit tests, logging and documentation for production-quality systems.

Data, Databases & Search

• Work with SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
• Work with vector databases and/or graph databases.
• Design efficient data-processing and retrieval workflows.
• Understand data validation, data quality and structured/unstructured data processing.
• Exposure to technologies such as ClickHouse, Redis, Elasticsearch or similar systems will be an advantage.

Cloud, Deployment & Performance

• Deploy AI applications and backend services on cloud platforms.
• Optimize applications for latency, scalability, reliability and cost.
• Work with Docker and containerized applications.
• Exposure to Kubernetes, CI/CD and cloud infrastructure is a plus.
• Monitor and troubleshoot production AI systems.

Engineering & Collaboration

• Follow Git-based development and software engineering best practices.
• Participate in technical discussions, architecture decisions and code reviews.
• Collaborate closely with product, design and engineering teams.
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Stay updated with the rapidly evolving GenAI and AI engineering ecosystem.

MUST-HAVE SKILLSProgramming & Engineering

• Strong proficiency in Python 3.x.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and clean-code principles.
• Experience building APIs/backend applications.
• Good understanding of Git, testing, logging and debugging.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Generative AI

• Hands-on experience building applications using LLMs.
• Strong understanding of LLM architecture and Transformers.
• Experience with prompt engineering and LLM APIs.
• Practical understanding of embeddings and semantic search.
• Hands-on experience with RAG systems.
• Experience with LangChain and/or LangGraph.

Databases & Data

• Experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with at least one vector database.
• Understanding of structured and unstructured data.
• Experience with data processing using pandas/NumPy is preferred.

Development Practices

• Ability to write clean, modular and testable code.
• Familiarity with REST APIs.
• Experience with debugging, logging and performance optimization.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

QUALIFICATION & ELIGIBILITY

• 2–5 years of relevant professional experience in Python, AI/ML, GenAI or backend engineering with significant GenAI exposure.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Engineering or a related field preferred.
• Candidates from strong engineering/technical backgrounds are preferred.
• Strong hands-on project experience in GenAI/LLM application development will be highly valued.
• Candidates should be comfortable working from office.
