Senior Python Engineer | Commodities | Hedge Fund

Highly proficient, ambitious Python Engineer wanted for a major buildout within a growing commodities platform at a top multi-strategy hedge fund.

You’d work directly with traders and quants across complex energy markets, building the data, pricing, risk and analytics systems that support the desk. The remit runs from understanding the underlying commercial problem through to modelling, engineering and production implementation.

Responsibilities:

• Build Python systems around pricing, risk + analytics
• Develop data + compute infrastructure used directly by traders and quants
• Productionise models for complex / long-dated physical contracts
• Build scalable tooling for scenario analysis, valuation + large-scale commodity datasets
• Own problems from initial modelling through to production

Requirements:

• Strong commercial experience in Python
• Background in trading, financial markets, commodities or similarly demanding technical environments
• Experience working with large-scale data, distributed systems or quantitative platforms
• Strong STEM background preferred
