Job Title: Python Developer – Web Scraping & E-commerce Tools

About the Role
We’re an e-commerce company looking for a Python developer to build reliable scrapers, automation tools, and data pipelines that power our pricing, inventory, and marketplace operations. You’ll work directly with the business team to turn messy marketplace data into tools people use every day.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable scrapers for marketplaces and e-commerce sites (Amazon, Flipkart, Nykaa, Myntra, Meesho, quick-commerce apps, brand websites)
• Track competitor prices, rankings, reviews, stock status, and ad placements
• Develop internal tools for inventory sync, order management, listing updates, and reporting, including integrations with platforms like Shopify and Uniware (Unicommerce)
• Handle anti-bot challenges: proxy rotation, headers, session management, rate limiting, and CAPTCHA strategies within legal and ethical limits
• Build and consume REST APIs, and automate marketplace seller panels and report downloads
• Design data pipelines that clean, store, and schedule data (MongoDB / PostgreSQL)
• Monitor scrapers, fix breakages quickly, and set up alerts and logging
• Create dashboards and automated reports for the growth and ops teams

Requirements

• 2-4 years of hands-on Python experience
• Strong experience with Requests, BeautifulSoup, Scrapy, and Playwright/Selenium
• Good understanding of HTML, CSS selectors, XPath, JSON, and network/API inspection (finding hidden APIs)
• Experience with MongoDB and/or SQL databases
• Familiarity with proxies, async programming (asyncio/aiohttp), and multithreading
• Experience with Git, Linux, cron jobs, and deployment on cloud servers (AWS/DigitalOcean/GCP)
• Clean, documented, maintainable code

Good to Have

• Experience with e-commerce platform or marketplace APIs (Amazon SP-API, Shopify, Flipkart, Unicommerce)
• Knowledge of Docker, Celery/Redis, or task queues
• Flask/FastAPI for building internal tools
• Basic front-end skills (Streamlit, React) for dashboards
• Understanding of e-commerce metrics such as pricing, BSR, and conversion

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
