Python Full Stack Developer

Mroads is looking for a "Python Full Stack Developer" for one of our direct clients in Dallas, TX.

This is an onsite role.

Role and Responsibilities

Backend and data (~70%)

• Convert legacy on-prem endpoints, written in a proprietary in-house language, into Python services, using the firm's internal Python libraries and pricing capabilities.
• Migrate data from on-prem Sybase IQ and MongoDB to AWS DocumentDB and Snowflake, including schema mapping ,data movement and ETL pipeline setup.
• Make architecture and technology decisions which include evaluating storage options on security, compliance, and fit for financial data.
• Design and run the validation strategy for each migration:
• Table-level reconciliation of data across the source and target databases.
• Endpoint-level reconciliation comparing old and new endpoint output.
• Deploy and operate applications on the firm's internal self-service AWS deployment platform.
• Troubleshoot production issues across application, data, and network layers.

Front end and integration (~30%)

• Integrate the new Python endpoints with the React front end to test end-to-end behavior and confirm that data, formats, and performance match the legacy system.
• Develop and update React components and front-end logic as needed to work with the migrated endpoints.
• Diagnose integration issues across the UI, API, and data layers, and fix them in whichever layer they originate.
