Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance applications using Python, following established coding standards and best practices.
• Work with the standard technology stack, including Python, Linux (via WSL), PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Databricks, and cloud infrastructure across Microsoft Azure and AWS.
• Integrate with IT Service Management (ITSM) platforms such as Freshdesk and Freshchat using REST APIs and webhooks.
• Troubleshoot API requests, JSON payloads, authentication issues, and integration challenges to ensure reliable system connectivity and data exchange.
• Apply basic knowledge of web technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, to support widget configuration and collaborate effectively with frontend development teams.
• Configure and maintain automations, workflows, Service Level Agreements (SLAs), routing rules, and inbox logic within ITSM platforms.
• Design, develop, and maintain data models for operational and analytical purposes in collaboration with team members, cross-functional teams, and data consumers.
• Support outbound communication workflows, including email and push notifications, with appropriate branding and template configuration.
• Contribute to quality automation within the Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline to improve release quality, minimise defects, and enhance developer productivity.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance automated tests to improve application quality, reliability, and test coverage.
• Maintain clear and comprehensive technical documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences, ensuring code is readable, maintainable, and well-documented.
• Participate in a collaborative, pairing-first development environment, sharing knowledge and learning from colleagues to continuously improve technical capabilities.
• Mentor and coach less experienced team members through technical discussions, design reviews, code reviews, and knowledge-sharing activities.
• Promote a transparent and collaborative workplace culture by actively participating in technical discussions, evaluating implementation approaches, and constructively challenging decisions when necessary.
• Assess application security to ensure compliance with the Client’s Application Security Standards.
• Evaluate APIs to ensure compliance with the relevant Client API Standards.

Required Skills and Experience

- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Python development.

• Experience integrating with ITSM platforms such as Freshdesk and Freshchat.
• Experience configuring workflows, automations, SLAs, routing rules, and inbox logic.
• Familiarity with Databricks and large-scale data processing.
• Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for frontend widget configuration.
• Understanding of outbound communication systems, including email and push notification workflows.
• Experience with application security assessments and API standards compliance.
• Experience mentoring junior developers and contributing to engineering best practices.
