Python Tutor – Part-TimeOverview

We are looking for a part-time Python Tutor to teach students programming fundamentals in a clear and engaging way.

You will work with students at different skill levels, from complete beginners to students with some programming experience. Lessons will focus on Python fundamentals, problem-solving, and hands-on coding projects.

Responsibilities

• Teach Python programming to students
• Explain programming concepts in simple, understandable ways
• Help students with topics such as variables, loops, conditionals, functions, lists, and classes
• Guide students through coding exercises and projects
• Help students debug and improve their code
• Track student progress and provide feedback
• Follow provided curriculum and lesson materials
• Maintain a positive and supportive learning environment

Qualifications

• Good understanding of Python
• Strong communication skills
• Patient and comfortable working with students
• Reliable and organized
• Able to explain technical concepts clearly
• Comfortable working with children and teenagers

Preferred, But Not Required

• Previous tutoring or teaching experience
• College coursework or a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Education, or a related field
• Experience working with children
• Experience with robotics or other programming languages

Teaching experience is not required. Training and curriculum materials will be provided.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2.0 – 8.0 per week
