Senior Python / AI Platform Developer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Python / AI Platform Developer to support and enhance an enterprise AI platform within a regulated banking environment. You will play a key role in developing, operating, and securing AI services that provide access to LLMs, enterprise search, RAG solutions, AI agents, and governance capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Python-based platform services using FastAPI , asynchronous architectures, and modern software engineering practices.
• Support AI capabilities including LLMs, AI agents, RAG, embeddings, enterprise search, and tool integrations .
• Manage integrations with SharePoint, intranet, and other approved enterprise data sources.
• Implement and maintain AI evaluation frameworks covering quality, safety, performance, latency, and cost.
• Investigate and resolve production incidents while improving platform reliability, observability, scalability, and security.
• Maintain secure authentication and authorisation using OIDC, OAuth2, JWT, and RBAC .
• Design and manage PostgreSQL databases, data models, and schema migrations.
• Support cloud-native deployments using Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines .
• Produce technical documentation, automated tests, operational runbooks, and architecture artefacts.
• Participate in code, security, architecture, and release reviews while mentoring internal teams.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of software or platform engineering experience.
• Strong expertise in Python, FastAPI, Pydantic, asynchronous programming, and API development .
• Solid experience with PostgreSQL , SQL, database design, and migrations.
• Practical experience with LLMs, RAG, AI agents, prompt engineering, embeddings, and enterprise search .
• Knowledge of AI security risks such as prompt injection, data leakage, and unsafe tool execution.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Azure, and CI/CD pipelines .
• Familiarity with observability tools such as OpenTelemetry, Splunk, Grafana, or Prometheus .
• Strong testing and quality assurance experience.
• Working knowledge of React and TypeScript .
• Professional English communication skills.

Desirable Experience

• Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, Microsoft Graph, and SharePoint integrations.
• Banking, financial services, or other regulated environments.
• GDPR, EU AI Act, DORA, or related regulatory frameworks.
• AI governance and model lifecycle management.
• Temporal workflow orchestration and Model Context Protocol (MCP).
• Performance testing, disaster recovery, and service continuity planning.
• French language skills.
