PZ Week Day Shift / General Labor

Overview

The Sewing Operator is responsible for operating sewing machines to customize, personalize, and process products according to established specifications and quality standards. The position requires attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and the ability to meet production goals in a warehouse environment.

Associates must be available to work overtime, weekends, and holidays that fall within their regular work schedule, as required. Previous sewing experience is preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate industrial sewing machines to sew, personalize, and customize products according to specifications.
• Inspect products and materials before and after sewing to ensure quality standards are met.
• Follow work instructions, product specifications, and established operating procedures.
• Handle products and materials carefully to prevent damage during processing.
• Use handheld scanning devices to scan product barcodes when required.
• Apply labels and complete required processing steps as assigned.
• Meet established production goals while maintaining accuracy and quality.
• Identify and report defective products, equipment issues, or quality concerns to the supervisor.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications

• Previous sewing machine experience preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and production specifications.
• Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
• Ability to work efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive hand movements.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

The position is performed in a warehouse environment where temperatures may vary. Associates may be required to stand or sit for extended periods, use their hands repetitively, and perform tasks requiring close attention to detail.

The position may also require walking, bending, reaching, and lifting or moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds, depending on assigned duties.
