QA Analyst

We are looking for a proactive and adaptable QA Analyst with solid experience in manual testing and API testing to ensure the quality, reliability, and functionality of software applications. The ideal candidate is a plug-and-play resource who can quickly understand business requirements, adapt to existing processes, and contribute effectively with minimal supervision in a fast-paced development environment.

The candidate must be comfortable working with changing priorities, tight deadlines, and frequent development releases while maintaining a strong focus on quality, accuracy, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform manual testing of web applications, software systems, and other digital solutions to identify defects and ensure compliance with business and technical requirements.
• Conduct API testing to validate endpoints, request and response payloads, status codes, data integrity, and error handling.
• Develop, execute, and maintain test cases, test scenarios, test scripts, and test data based on functional and technical specifications.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, and exploratory testing as required.
• Identify, document, track, and retest defects using established defect management tools.
• Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, product owners, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve quality issues.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews, as applicable.
• Adapt quickly to new systems, tools, workflows, and changing project requirements.
• Provide timely testing feedback to support rapid development cycles and release schedules.
• Ensure adequate test coverage while balancing speed, accuracy, and overall product quality.
• Prepare test execution reports, defect summaries, and other QA documentation as needed.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in software quality assurance or testing, preferably in a fast-paced development environment.
• Hands-on experience in manual testing and API testing.
• Proficiency in API testing tools such as Postman or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of REST APIs, HTTP methods, status codes, JSON payloads, request headers, and authentication mechanisms.
• Experience in writing and executing test cases, documenting defects, and conducting regression testing.
• Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira or equivalent platforms.
• Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, learn quickly, and become productive with minimal onboarding.
• Comfortable working under tight deadlines, managing multiple priorities, and adapting to frequent changes in requirements.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in Agile teams with short sprint cycles and frequent releases.
• Familiarity with SQL for basic data validation and backend verification.
• Exposure to browser-based application testing and integration testing.
• Basic understanding of automation testing concepts is an advantage but not required.

Pay: Up to Php43,000.00 per month
