TxDOT seeks a QA Automation Engineer to support manual and automated testing, develop scalable test frameworks, and incorporate AI-assisted tools into testing workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop test plans, test cases, traceability matrices, and test summary reports.
• Execute system, integration, UAT, and regression testing.
• Manage requirements traceability and defects using Jira, Xray, or comparable tools.
• Build and maintain automation frameworks, regression scripts, and CI/CD integrations.
• Apply AI coding assistants to accelerate test development and expand test coverage.
• Support UiPath automation, basic performance testing, and daily project reporting.

Required Experience

• 5+ years: Manual testing, including black-box and boundary-value analysis; technical testing documentation; defect tracking using Jira or similar tools; and test management using Xray, Zephyr, TestRail, or equivalent.
• 4+ years: Building and maintaining automation frameworks; Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or UiPath; CI/CD integration using Jenkins or Azure DevOps; Java, Python, or JavaScript; BDD testing with Cucumber/Gherkin; and familiarity with MuleSoft or other API development frameworks.

Preferred

• 1+ year using GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or similar AI assistants for test scripting and debugging.
• 1+ year with UiPath Studio or UiPath Test Suite.
