QA Automation Engineer – C#

We are looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with 3–5 years of relevant software development and API test automation experience. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience building automated API test scripts from scratch using C# and automation frameworks such as Selenium or Playwright.

The candidate must have a solid understanding of object-oriented programming, software design principles, SQL, and web application testing. This role focuses on code-based test automation rather than manual testing or record-and-playback tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated API test scripts from scratch using C# and appropriate automation frameworks.
• Build and maintain automated test suites to validate API functionality, reliability, and performance.
• Use Microsoft SQL Server (MS SQL) to validate test data and verify API responses against database records.
• Apply object-oriented programming (OOP), SOLID principles, and LINQ when developing maintainable automation scripts.
• Support UI test automation using Selenium and/or Playwright, with exposure to .NET and Angular applications.
• Perform functional and non-functional testing of web applications and APIs.
• Execute automated test suites, analyze results, troubleshoot failures, and report defects.
• Collaborate with software developers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders to improve test coverage and software quality.

Qualifications and Requirements

• At least 3–5 years of collective and recent experience in software development and API test automation.
• Hands-on experience creating automated API test scripts from scratch using C#.
• Experience with Selenium and/or Playwright for test automation.
• Working knowledge of object-oriented programming (OOP), SOLID principles, and LINQ.
• Experience using Microsoft SQL Server (MS SQL) for automated API testing and data validation.
• Intermediate SQL skills, including writing queries and using joins.
• Solid foundational knowledge of web application testing.
• Exposure to functional and non-functional testing.
• Familiarity with .NET and Angular applications, particularly in supporting UI automation.
• Experience developing and maintaining automated test suites.
