QA Automation Engineer

Quality ownership across projects

Plan and execute testing for multiple services and applications in the codebase.

Understand system architecture and data flows to design effective test coverage.

Test planning & execution

Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and test suites for new and existing features.

Perform functional, regression, integration, API, and data-validation testing.

Identify, reproduce, and document defects with clear steps, logs, and impact assessment.

Automation & tooling (as applicable)

Contribute to or maintain automated test suites (API, backend, UI where relevant).

Collaborate with developers to integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines.

Proactively suggest tools and practices to improve test efficiency and reliability.

Documentation & workflows

Write clear technical documentation for testing strategy, quality processes, and release criteria.

Create and maintain workflow diagrams and process flows (e.g. for data pipelines, integrations, and user flows).

Document test environments, data requirements, edge cases, and known limitations.

Collaboration & communication

Work closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria.

Participate in planning, grooming, and review meetings; raise quality risks early with practical mitigation options.

Champion QA best practices and foster a culture of quality across teams.

Required Skills & Experience

3+ years of hands-on QA experience in software projects (preferably including backend services, APIs, and data-processing workloads).

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain issues, risks, and trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Proven experience in writing high-quality technical documentation (test plans, test cases, runbooks, QA guidelines, release notes).

Strong ability to model and draw workflows/process diagrams (e.g. using Lucidchart, Miro, Draw.io, or similar).

Solid understanding of software testing methodologies (functional, regression, integration, system, UAT, smoke/sanity).

Pay: Rs32,561.82 - Rs191,511.60 per month

Work Location: In person
