QA Automation Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a QA Automation Test Engineer who will be responsible for designing, coding, developing, and executing automated test scripts to ensure the stability, functionality, and quality of our applications. The ideal candidate has hands-on programming experience and is passionate about building scalable automation frameworks, improving test coverage, and integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines. You will work closely with Developers, Product Owners, and DevOps teams to support continuous delivery and quality assurance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, code, and maintain automated test scripts for UI, API, and integration testing.
• Write clean, reusable, and maintainable automation code using JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, Python, or C#.
• Build, enhance, and maintain automation frameworks to improve reusability, scalability, and reliability.
• Create automated test cases from business and technical requirements.
• Execute automated test suites and analyze results, identifying defects and root causes.
• Debug automation scripts and work closely with developers to resolve issues.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
• Conduct regression, smoke, sanity, end-to-end, and data-driven testing.
• Collaborate with developers and product teams during requirement reviews, sprint planning, and code reviews.
• Track, document, and report test outcomes, defects, and quality metrics.
• Contribute to QA best practices, coding standards, automation strategies, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Must-Have Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• At least 3-5 years of experience in QA Automation Testing.
• Strong experience in creating, coding, and maintaining automated test scripts.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium WebDriver.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, Python, or C# with the ability to write and troubleshoot automation code.
• Experience developing and maintaining test automation frameworks.
• Experience testing APIs using Postman, REST Assured, or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), testing methodologies, and quality assurance best practices.
• Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.

Nice‑to‑Have

• ISTQB Certifications (Foundation or CTAL‑TAE – Test Automation Engineer).
• Knowledge of OWASP testing concepts and security testing practices.
• Experience with performance testing (JMeter, k6).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and containerization tools.
