About the job

In this role, you will work alongside AI coding and testing agents to build, execute, and maintain automated testing systems across web and mobile applications. You will orchestrate AI-powered test automation workflows, identify gaps missed by AI-generated tests, and ensure software quality through a combination of automation and exploratory testing.

While AI automation is a core focus of the role, you will also perform hands-on testing, investigate complex issues, validate new releases, and provide quality assurance support throughout the software delivery lifecycle. Our goal is to achieve daily deployments and eventually support multiple production deployments per day through robust CI/CD pipelines and comprehensive automated testing.

This position requires full on-site presence in the office (Monday - Friday); hybrid or remote arrangements are not available.

Key responsibilities

Quality Assurance & Testing

• Perform manual and exploratory testing when needed.
• Design and execute smoke, black-box, end-to-end regression, API, load, and performance tests.
• Validate complex system behaviors that are difficult to test manually, including cron jobs, WebSockets, background workers, event-driven processes, and third-party integrations.
• Analyze test results, identify bottlenecks, and collaborate with engineers to improve system reliability and performance.
• Support the testing lifecycle by assisting in test planning, executing test cases, and documenting results to help ensure quality standards and project requirements are met.
• Assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and post-go-live quality checks to validate system functionality and performance.
• Provide hands-on production support by troubleshooting issues, identifying root causes, and assisting in finding effective solutions to maintain system stability.
• Create and manage clear, concise, and comprehensive documentation for test plans, test scripts, and results to support traceability and audits.

AI-Assisted Test Automation

• Use and orchestrate AI agents to generate, execute, and maintain automated tests.
• Review, validate, and improve AI-generated test cases and QA workflows.

Test Automation Development

• Develop automated tests for scenarios not covered by AI.
• Build and maintain automation frameworks using TypeScript, Playwright, and Appium.
• Create and maintain API test suites using Postman and related tooling.
• Develop performance and load testing scripts using k6.

CI/CD & Continuous Quality

• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to support frequent deployments.
• Maintain reliable quality gates to support daily and multiple deployments per day.
• Leverage remote AI agents for on-demand testing and regression validation.

Skills & experience required

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent.
• Solid programming foundation in at least one modern programming language e.g. (TypeScript, Java). Ability to read, debug, and write production-quality code is expected.
• Familiar with software testing concepts through internships or academic coursework.
• Interested in learning test planning, defect tracking, and cross-browser and mobile testing.
• Exposure to prompt engineering and AI-assisted development (e.g. Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, or GitHub Copilot) and usage of Playwright is a must.

What to Expect During the Assessment Process

• Our team works extensively with Playwright, TypeScript, and AI-powered development tools. Please bring a laptop with the required tools installed and be prepared to use them during the assessment.
• You will be given access to an online assessment upon arrival and will have 2.5 hours to complete it.
• Assessment results will be evaluated by the Hiring Manager immediately. Due to the high volume of applications, only shortlisted candidates will proceed to the interview.
