Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced R&D Test Engineer II to join our Quality Engineering team. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in manual and automated testing, test framework development, API validation, database testing, and CI/CD integration.
The role focuses on ensuring product quality through robust test automation, comprehensive test coverage, defect prevention, and collaboration with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Test Automation

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright or equivalent automation tools.

Develop and enhance automation frameworks

Build and maintain API automation suites using Postman, Rest Assured, or similar tools.

Create scalable, reusable, and maintainable automation solutions for smoke, regression, sanity, and end-to-end testing.

Continuously improve automation coverage and execution efficiency.
Functional & System Testing

Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and technical designs.

Design, review, and execute detailed test cases and test scenarios.

Perform functional, integration, regression, system, and user acceptance testing support.

Validate application behavior across multiple browsers and environments.

Identify, document, track, and verify defects through resolution.

Create scalable, maintainable automation suites for regression, smoke, sanity, and CI-driven pipelines.
Execution, Reporting & DevOps Integration

Execute automated suites, analyze results, and generate detailed reports (TestNG, Extent Reports, Allure Reports).

Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI.

Collaborate with developers to triage defects and reproduce issues quickly.
Quality

Drive quality strategy for assigned modules or products.

Partner with product owners and developers to ensure complete requirement coverage.
Required Skills & Qualifications

Experience: 5+ years of total software testing experience, with at least 3+ years in a senior role.

AI Knowledge: Practical experience using AI-powered testing tools (e.g., Claude Code).

Programming: Strong scripting skills in TypeScript.

Databases: Proficiency in SQL for database testing.

Methodologies: Understanding of Agile/Scrum

Soft Skills: Strong critical thinking, ability to translate complex requirements into test scenarios.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in enterprise web application testing.

Exposure to Azure DevOps for test management and defect tracking.

Experience with CI/CD environments.

Knowledge of performance, security, or accessibility testing is an added advantage.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
