QA Automation Engineer

Location: Fremont, CA – Onsite

Candidate Requirement: Local to California only Job Summary We are looking for a mid-level QA Automation Engineer with 5–6 years of experience in both functional and automation testing . The ideal candidate will support day-to-day QA activities, Jira tracking, automation testing, API testing, mobile testing, and regression testing.

Candidates must be local to California and available to work onsite in Fremont, CA. Key Responsibilities

• Perform both functional and automated testing for web and mobile applications.
• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Selenium and Python.
• Write backend integration tests and automated tests for RESTful APIs.
• Track automation testing progress and provide weekly QA status reports.
• Design and execute integration, regression, functional, and stress testing.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts and Developers to understand requirements and convert them into detailed test cases.
• Perform Web/UI testing across different browsers and platforms.
• Participate in day-to-day QA activities and Jira management.
• Create, maintain, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Identify, document, track, and verify defects through JIRA.
• Support continuous improvement of QA automation frameworks and testing processes.
• Perform mobile application testing and mobile automation testing.

Required Skills

• 5–6 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance / QA Automation.

• Strong experience with both manual/functional testing and automation testing.

• Hands-on experience with Selenium and Python.

• Experience with REST API testing and backend integration testing.

• Experience with one or more programming languages:

• JavaScript

• Ruby

• C#

• Working knowledge of:

• Playwright

• Selenium

• Appium

• JIRA

• STLC

• Test Management tools such as ALM or Zephyr

• Experience with Mobile Testing and Mobile Automation.

• Good understanding of Web/UI testing.

• Strong knowledge of test methodologies, QA processes, and defect life cycle.

• Experience with MSSQL and/or MySQL databases.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Good communication and collaboration skills.
