QA Automation Engineer

We are seeking an experienced AI-Enabled Quality Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable automated testing solutions for web applications and APIs. This role combines modern automation engineering practices with AI-assisted development to improve test coverage, accelerate delivery, and enhance overall software quality.

The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with Playwright, TypeScript, API automation, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines, along with practical experience leveraging AI-powered tools to optimize quality engineering workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript.
• Develop and execute automated tests for UI, REST APIs, integrations, regression, and end-to-end workflows.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate test case generation, automation development, code reviews, test data preparation, and defect analysis.
• Integrate automated testing into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
• Build reusable automation components and continuously improve framework stability, maintainability, execution speed, and test coverage.
• Analyze test results, troubleshoot failures, perform root cause analysis, and communicate defects, risks, and quality metrics.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, Architects, and Quality Engineers to define test strategies and quality objectives.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, test estimation, quality reviews, and release readiness activities.
• Maintain test data strategies, reporting, and automation utilities while following established engineering standards and best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience in Quality Assurance and test automation .
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with Playwright .
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript or JavaScript , including OOP principles and software design patterns.
• Experience designing and building automation frameworks from the ground up.
• Hands-on experience with both UI and API test automation.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON validation, and integration testing.
• Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) , including work management, source control, and pipeline integration.
• Experience with Git, branching strategies, CI/CD pipelines, and continuous testing.
• Practical experience using AI-assisted tools such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, or similar technologies.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, testing principles, and Quality Engineering practices.
• Basic to intermediate SQL skills for queries and data validation.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Azure cloud services, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Experience with performance, accessibility, or security testing.
• Experience with automation metrics, dashboards, test coverage analysis, and requirements traceability.
• Experience using AI-generated test cases and AI-assisted quality engineering workflows.
• Background in insurance, reinsurance, or financial services.
• Relevant certifications in Agile, Azure, Playwright, or Quality Engineering.
