QA Automation Engineer (Remote)

One of our clients is looking to hire a QA Automation Engineer.

About the role

QA Engineer (Automation) responsible for designing and implementing automated test frameworks for applications and APIs, creating and maintaining automation scripts and test cases against business requirements, and collaborating with development teams and business users to ensure tests align with business requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement automated test frameworks for applications and APIs.
• Create and maintain automation scripts and test cases against business requirements ensuring complete coverage.
• Collaborate with development teams and business users to ensure tests align with business requirements.
• Conduct exploratory testing and post-release testing.
• Support and coordinate production releases in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
• Execute automated regression test packs alongside appropriate manual testing.
• Document and report defects and issues encountered during testing.
• Contribute to improving QA processes, standards, and best practices.
• Participate in peer reviews of automation code and test approaches.
• Contribute to non-functional testing activities, including performance, scalability, and security testing.

About you

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of QA engineering experience with a strong automation focus.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C# and React / TypeScript.
• Proficiency with automated testing frameworks, preferably Playwright.
• Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience designing and developing resilient test scripts for web applications and backend services / APIs.
• Deep understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Ability to work collaboratively with product managers, engineering team members and business users alike.
• Familiarity with the use of AI-augmented test workflows with a tool such as Claude, Codex, or Copilot is very beneficial.
