About the Role

We are looking for an experienced QA Automation Engineer specializing in Robot Framework and Appium to join our client's team in Subang Jaya, Malaysia.

The ideal candidate will have strong Python scripting skills, hands-on experience in Android mobile test automation, and a solid understanding of software testing methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Robot Framework.
• Build reusable test libraries, custom keywords, and Python-based automation utilities.
• Automate Android mobile application testing using Appium.
• Execute automated tests across emulators, simulators, real devices, and device farms.
• Perform API testing using Postman or similar tools.
• Analyze test results and maintain automation reports and logs.
• Collaborate with QA, development, and project teams to investigate and resolve defects.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of hands-on experience with Robot Framework.
• At least 2 years of experience with Appium and Android mobile testing.
• Strong Python scripting skills and knowledge of object-oriented programming.
• Experience developing and maintaining custom Robot Framework libraries and keywords.
• Understanding of keyword-driven and data-driven testing approaches.
• Knowledge of STLC, test case design, and defect management.
• Familiarity with Git, JSON, XML, and YAML.
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman.
• Good understanding of Robot Framework reporting and logging mechanisms.

Good to Have

• Experience in the telecommunications (Telco) domain.
• Familiarity with JIRA.
• Experience with mobile device farms and custom Robot Framework library development.

Pay: RM15,000.00 per month
