Job Description: QA Automation Engineer (Playwright) 7+ Years Experience

Overview

We are looking for a skilled QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Playwright to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building robust automation frameworks, ensuring high-quality releases, and driving automation best practices across web applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using Playwright.
• Write and execute automated test scripts for web applications (UI and API testing).
• Collaborate with developers and product teams to understand requirements and define test strategies.
• Integrate automation scripts into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
• Perform cross-browser and cross-platform testing.
• Identify, log, and track defects; work closely with development teams for resolution.
• Ensure test coverage, reliability, and maintainability of automation suites.
• Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and Agile ceremonies.
• Continuously improve QA processes, tools, and standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 4–8 years of experience in QA automation testing.
• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript).
• Experience in UI automation and API testing.
• Good understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript programming.
• Experience with test frameworks like Jest, Mocha, or similar.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
• Experience with version control systems (Git).
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong analytical and debugging skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with other automation tools like Selenium, Cypress.
• Knowledge of performance testing tools is a plus.
• Familiarity with Docker and containerized environments.
• Exposure to BDD frameworks like Cucumber.
• Experience in test reporting tools (Allure, Extent Reports).
