QA Automation Lead - AI Platform

Are you passionate about automation, quality engineering, and emerging AI technologies? We are looking for an experienced QA Automation Lead to take ownership of quality engineering within a growing AI Platform team. This is a unique opportunity to build a modern QA capability from the ground up, define testing standards and automation strategy, and influence how AI-powered products are developed and delivered across the organization.

In this hands-on leadership role, you will design and develop scalable test automation frameworks using Playwright, establish quality processes and governance, and integrate automated validation into CI/CD pipelines. You will work closely with AI engineers, software developers, platform architects, data engineers, security specialists, and product stakeholders to ensure quality is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle.

The ideal candidate brings strong experience in test automation, QA leadership, and modern cloud-based application testing. You should be comfortable creating automation frameworks from scratch, driving best practices across engineering teams, and balancing strategic quality initiatives with hands-on technical execution. Experience with Playwright, API testing, cloud-native applications, CI/CD pipelines, and enterprise platforms is highly valued. Exposure to AI-enabled applications, Azure environments, or highly regulated industries would be a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead quality engineering and serve as the QA owner for the AI platform ecosystem.
• Design and implement scalable Playwright-based automation frameworks.
• Develop automated testing for UI, API, integration, regression, and end-to-end scenarios.
• Integrate automated validation and quality gates into CI/CD pipelines.
• Define testing strategy, quality metrics, release readiness standards, and reporting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and business stakeholders to drive quality best practices.
• Support validation of AI-enabled solutions, platform services, and cloud-native applications.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in QA, test automation, or quality engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright and modern test automation practices.
• Experience building automation frameworks from scratch.
• Knowledge of API, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
• Proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, or Java.
• Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD environments.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience working with cloud platforms, microservices, or enterprise-scale applications.

Preferred Experience

• QA Lead, Test Automation Lead, or Quality Engineering Lead experience.
• Experience testing AI-powered applications or platforms.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure.
• Background in regulated enterprise environments.
• Knowledge of performance, security, resilience, or accessibility testing.
