QA Automation Professional

job Summary

• We are looking for a skilled QA Automation Engineer with 3+ years of experience in software testing and test automation.

• The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Playwright, Selenium, Java, API testing, REST Assured, Postman, and database testing.

• The candidate will be responsible for ensuring software quality, improving test coverage, and identifying defects across applications and services.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using **Playwright, Selenium, and Java**.

• Perform functional, regression, smoke, sanity, and integration testing.

• Conduct API testing using **Postman** to validate endpoints, HTTP status codes, request/response payloads, and API functionality.

• Develop and execute API automation scripts using **REST Assured**.

• Perform database testing using SQL queries to validate data integrity, CRUD operations, and backend data consistency.

• Identify, document, track, and retest defects using defect-tracking tools.

• Analyse test failures, investigate issues, and collaborate with developers to resolve defects.

• Prepare and maintain test plans, test scenarios, test cases, automation scripts, and test execution reports.

• Contribute to improving automation frameworks, test coverage, and overall QA processes.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of quality software.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in software testing, including test automation.

• Hands-on experience with **Playwright and Selenium**.

• Good programming knowledge of **Java**.

• Experience in API testing using **Postman**.

• Practical experience with **REST Assured** for API automation.

• Strong understanding of database testing and SQL queries.

• Knowledge of testing methodologies, SDLC, STLC, and defect life cycle.

• Experience with test management and defect-tracking tools such as JIRA.

• Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Git or other version control systems.

• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and test automation integration.

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
