Qa Automation Testing Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test strategies across Agile, Waterfall, and Iterative software development methodologies.
• Apply testing principles including risk-based testing, requirements-based testing, test planning, execution, and defect management.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium, Playwright, Cucumber, and Micro Focus UFT.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing.
• Support performance testing using JMeter, LoadRunner, or BlazeMeter.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using appropriate scripting languages.
• Manage test cases, defects, execution status, and reporting using JIRA and/or Azure DevOps (ADO).
• Perform SQL-based data validation and analysis to verify application and database results.
• Use MS Excel and VB/VBA scripting for data analysis, validation, and test reporting.
• Test applications across Cloud, Data, SaaS, and enterprise environments.
• Identify, analyze, and troubleshoot defects, including performing root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with Developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, DevOps, and other stakeholders to resolve quality issues.
• Contribute to improving test automation coverage, QA processes, frameworks, and overall software quality.

Required Skills

• 58 years of experience in Software Testing / Quality Assurance.
• Strong knowledge of STLC, testing principles, and software development methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with Selenium and/or Playwright.
• Experience with Cucumber and test automation frameworks.
• Knowledge of Micro Focus UFT is an advantage.
• Experience with JIRA and/or Azure DevOps (ADO).
• Exposure to JMeter, LoadRunner, or BlazeMeter for performance testing.
• Strong SQL skills for backend and data validation.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel and VB/VBA scripting.
• Understanding of Cloud, Data, SaaS, and enterprise solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
