About the Role

We are looking for an experienced QA Automation Engineer with 6+ years of experience in software testing and test automation. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in test automation, regression testing, functional testing, API testing, defect management, and test planning.

You will work closely with Development, QA, Engineering, and Business teams to ensure applications meet functional, quality, performance, and business requirements.

Experience working in the Financial Services/Banking domain and an Agile environment will be highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform Build Verification Testing (BVT), Functional Testing, Feature Testing, and Regression Testing.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for regression and functional testing.
• Develop reusable test data and maintain automated and manual regression test suites.
• Convert business and technical requirements into test scenarios, test cases, and automation scripts.
• Prepare detailed test plans, test strategies, test cases, test data, and test estimates.
• Execute test cases and automation scripts using TOSCA, Playwright, and Postman.
• Perform API testing using Postman and other relevant tools.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects throughout the defect lifecycle.
• Perform root cause analysis and work with development teams to resolve defects.
• Maintain test documentation and provide regular test execution and quality status reports.
• Ensure development deliverables meet defined quality standards and acceptance criteria.
• Review requirements and specification documents and provide feedback from a testing perspective.
• Coordinate and prioritize testing activities across multiple teams and stakeholders.
• Ensure adequate test coverage across functional and regression requirements.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Identify opportunities to improve testing processes, automation frameworks, and QA practices.
• Provide regular updates on test progress, defect status, test coverage, and quality metrics.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of experience in Software Testing / QA Automation.

• Strong hands-on experience in Test Automation and Regression Testing.

• Hands-on experience with TOSCA.

• Hands-on experience with Playwright.

• Experience with Postman and API Testing.

• Experience with Jenkins / CI-CD pipelines.

• Strong knowledge of test case design, test execution, defect management, and test strategy.

• Good programming/scripting experience in at least one of:

• Java

• Python

• JavaScript

• Strong knowledge of SQL and database testing.

• Experience with Zephyr or similar test management tools.

• Good understanding of QA and Software Testing principles.

• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in the Financial Services / Banking domain.
• ISTQB certification or equivalent software testing certification.
• Experience working with applications involving multiple programming languages and technologies.
• Experience with CI/CD and automated testing integration.
• Knowledge of QA process improvement and automation is the best practices.
