QA automation -typescript

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced QA Automation Engineer with 46 years of experience in software testing and strong hands-on expertise in Playwright and TypeScript. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts and ensuring the quality and reliability of web applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright and TypeScript.
• Develop and maintain scalable and reusable automation frameworks.
• Create and execute functional, regression, smoke, and end-to-end automation test cases.
• Analyze requirements and prepare test scenarios and test cases.
• Identify, document, and track defects using defect management tools.
• Perform root-cause analysis of automation failures and application defects.
• Execute automated test suites and analyze test results.
• Integrate automation scripts with CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement of the QA process.
• Maintain test documentation and provide testing status and reports.

Required Skills

• 4–6 years of experience in QA Automation Testing.
• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright.
• Strong programming experience in TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Good understanding of Web UI automation testing.
• Experience in developing automation frameworks from scratch or enhancing existing frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of XPath, CSS selectors, locators, assertions, waits, and page objects.
• Experience with Page Object Model (POM) and reusable automation components.
• Good understanding of API testing/automation.
• Experience with Git and version control.
• Good understanding of CI/CD concepts and experience with tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• Good knowledge of SQL/database validation is an added advantage.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
