QA Engineer (6-Month Contract)

About the role

We are looking for a QA Engineer to support quality assurance and quality control activities for our data centre project. The successful candidate will ensure that project works, materials, documentation, and site activities comply with approved specifications, drawings, standards, project requirements, and quality procedures. The role involves close coordination with project teams, contractors, suppliers, consultants, and clients to identify quality issues, implement corrective actions, and ensure all project deliverables meet the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain project QA/QC procedures, inspection plans, and quality requirements.
• Monitor project activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, ITPs, and project standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks on project activities, materials, equipment, and workmanship.
• Prepare and coordinate Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), Inspection Requests (IR), checklists, and quality records.
• Verify that materials and equipment delivered to site comply with approved specifications and documentation.
• Review Material Test Certificates, Certificates of Conformance, inspection reports, and other relevant quality documents.
• Identify non-conformities and coordinate corrective and preventive actions.
• Raise and follow up on NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) until satisfactory closure.
• Maintain and update QA/QC documentation, inspection records, test reports, quality registers, and project quality files.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Supervisors, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants to resolve quality-related issues.

About you

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Construction, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of QA/QC experience, preferably in construction, M&E, engineering, industrial, infrastructure, or data centre projects.
• Good knowledge of QA/QC procedures, ITP, inspection processes, NCR, corrective actions, and project documentation.
• Familiar with reading engineering drawings, specifications, method statements, and technical documents.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality management systems.
• Good communication and coordination skills with contractors, suppliers, consultants, and clients.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify quality issues on site.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple quality-related activities in a project environment.
• Willing to be site-based and work according to project requirements.
