QA Engineer

ROLE SUMMARY

As a QA Engineer, you will serve as a key gatekeeper for product integrity and compliance. This role centers on technical quality administration—specifically leading the thorough review, assessment, and customer submission of Material Test Reports (MTRs), COC and manufacturing data books to ensure strict adherence to customer specifications and QMS standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• MTR Review & Material Assessment: Conduct rigorous, line-by-line verification of raw material test reports (MTRs/MTCs) against customer engineering specifications, industry standards (e.g., ASTM, ASME, ISO), and purchase orders prior to production release.
• Documentation & Certification: Compile, index, and submit comprehensive manufacturing data books, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and Certificates of Conformance (COCs) to client representatives.
• Deviations & Discrepancy Management: Identify non-conformances in material properties; draft quality deviation requests/notes for Work-in-Progress (WIP) and coordinate with clients for resolution and formal sign-off.
• Client & Third-Party Coordination: Liaise directly with customer inspectors and Third-Party Inspection (TPI) agencies for document sign-offs, inspection scheduling, quality queries, and audit verifications.
• Quality Records & Compliance: Maintain secure, audit-ready document storage and traceability systems in compliance with company QMS requirements.
• Audits & Quality Metrics: Support internal and external ISO/QMS audits, track quality KPIs, and analyze documentation error trends to drive continuous process improvements.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Quality Assurance, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 1–2 years of hands-on QA/QC documentation experience within manufacturing, precision engineering, oil & gas, or fabrication environments.
• Proven capability to interpret Material Test Reports (chemical, mechanical, and heat treatment properties) and technical drawings.
• Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and ITPs.
• High attention to detail, strong analytical scrutiny, and methodical document-handling habits.
• Strong professional written and verbal English communication skills for customer and auditor interaction.
